| Compliance Notes | Turkey's Information and Communication Technologies Authority has mandated that all messages going through registered sender IDs have a four-digit code followed by a space at the end of every message. Starting 1st April 2026, any SMS messages containing URLs or website links will be blocked for international clients only (i.e. businesses without a registered local presence in Turkey). This change does not affect clients with a local presence in Turkey. Starting 1 April 2026, SMS messages sent using a numeric sender ID will have the sender automatically replaced with the generic sender ID. This applies to all senders, regardless of whether they operate locally or internationally. |
