Sender ID Regulations	By default, Plivo customer traffic toward India is routed via the ILDO routes and all entities that use this route are considered international entities. Messages are masked to random short codes to ensure deliverability. SIDs are provisioned instantly for this use case and ILDO routes are readily available for all our customers. For domestic (DLT) traffic, you are requested to share the DLT approved Headers (SIDs) and Templates with Plivo support for whitelisting.

Compliance Notes	The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has introduced regulations to sanitize traffic toward India. All traffic toward Indian numbers is categorized based on where the messages originate from: the International Long Distance Operator (ILDO) route for international traffic and the domestic route. By default, Plivo customer traffic toward India is routed via the ILDO routes and all entities that use this route are considered international entities. Messages are masked to random short codes to ensure deliverability. All customers* that wish to send messages to India via the domestic route must register their business entity along with required headers, consent templates, and message templates on a DLT platform. Doing so enables you to send messages using whitelisted headers and templates, thus guaranteeing a higher delivery rate and brand recognition, and makes you eligible for domestic rates toward India.
