The Hangup Element
The Hangup element is used to end a call. This element is used in the case where you don’t want to answer incoming calls on your Plivo number. Your application attached to the Plivo number must return a
<Hangup> XML along with the
reason attribute to end the call.
The attributes supported by the Hangup element are listed below. The default behavior of each attribute can be modified using the allowed values.
Used to specify reason of hangup
Allowed values - rejected, busy. No default value.
Used to schedule a call hangup. Should be followed by an element such as Speak, otherwise the call will be hung up immediately.
Allowed values - integer > 0 (in seconds). No default value.
- When Hangup XML is the first element in the Answer XML, the call is hung up with reason Rejected by default if the reason attribute is not specified.
- When Hangup XML is not the first element or if the call is already answered, the call is hung up with reason Normal Hangup if the reason attribute is not specified.
