Plivo Adds DND Filtering for Indian Numbers

TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) mandates that promotional messaging can’t be sent to numbers on the National Customer Preference Register (NCPR) (formerly the National Do Not Call Registry (NDNC)), informally called the DND (do not disturb) list. Until recently, Plivo passed all messages to the carriers, and any messages sent to numbers on the register would be filtered out down the line. We now filter out messages to DND numbers ourselves so they are not sent to the carriers.
