Overview

Phone number masking hides the phone numbers of parties in a call from each other. Many businesses find it advantageous to anonymize communication between two parties.

• Ride-hailing apps connect a driver to a person who ordered a ride.

Plivo’s Number Masking API handles both virtual number assignment and call flow management. You use it by sending the real phone numbers of parties over an API request. Plivo will respond back with a virtual number from your account which you can use for hosting the masked session.
