# Verify Availability & Coverage

> How Plivo Verify is provisioned to direct brands, country coverage by Minimum Monthly Commitment (MMC) tier, and India ILDO support.

  Plivo provisions Verify only to direct brands through sales with a Minimum Monthly Commitment (MMC). Verify is not currently offered to resellers or ISVs (independent software vendors). A USD 1,000/month MMC unlocks the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, India (ILDO), and dynamic-registration countries, while a USD 10,000/month MMC adds pre-registration countries. Domestic India SMS via DLT is not currently offered. Unlike SMS, Verify requires no sender registration or KYC on your side — Plivo handles OTP delivery through its own registered Sender IDs.

Plivo Verify delivers OTPs for two-factor authentication over SMS and voice. This page explains eligibility requirements, available country coverage, and how coverage maps to **Minimum Monthly Commitment (MMC)** tiers.

## Who we support

Plivo Verify is available to businesses authenticating their own end users under their own brand.

### Not eligible for Verify onboarding

At this time, Plivo does not onboard the following business models for Verify:

* **Resellers** that provide verification or messaging services to downstream customers.
* **Independent Software Vendors (ISVs)** sending OTPs on behalf of multiple third-party brands.
* **Aggregators or multi-tenant platforms** that consolidate traffic from multiple unrelated senders under a single account.

### Why eligibility requirements exist

The global messaging ecosystem has become increasingly regulated, with carriers and regulators requiring greater transparency and accountability from message senders.

Examples include:

* **United States:** 10DLC registration, brand vetting, campaign registration, and carrier-level enforcement.
* **International markets:** Sender ID registration, brand registration, template approval, KYC requirements, and filtering of unregistered traffic in many countries.

These requirements are designed to improve message quality, reduce abuse, and ensure that messaging traffic can be traced back to the responsible sender.

Supporting direct brands allows sender registration, compliance reviews, and ongoing accountability to map directly to the organization originating the traffic.

## No compliance setup on your side

Verify delivers OTPs using **Plivo-registered Sender IDs**, so you do not perform sender ID registration, brand vetting, template approval, or end-user KYC yourself to start sending. This setup works globally.

Some countries may experience reduced delivery quality unless an **independent Sender ID** is registered for your brand. Independent Sender ID registration is subject to the same MMC and coverage requirements described below.

## Minimum Monthly Commitment (MMC) tiers

Verify access is tied to a **Minimum Monthly Commitment (MMC)** — a monthly spend commitment across all Plivo products, **excluding any pass-through fees** such as carrier surcharges. Your MMC tier determines which destination countries are available for OTP delivery.

| **USD 10,000/month** | Includes all coverage available in the USD 1,000 tier, plus countries that require sender registration, brand approval, template registration, or other pre-registration compliance processes before traffic can be enabled. |

### Understanding MMC

The Minimum Monthly Commitment is a **monthly spend commitment across Plivo products**, excluding pass-through fees such as carrier surcharges. It is not a setup fee or connection fee. Standard per-message, per-minute, or other usage charges continue to apply.

If your total usage across products falls below the committed amount, the MMC sets the **minimum billable amount** for that month.

### Pre-registration countries

A pre-registration country is a market where carriers or regulators require approval before traffic can be sent. Depending on the country, this may include:

* Brand registration
* Sender ID registration
* Message template approval
* Regulatory or operator review

Coverage for these markets is available under the **USD 10,000 MMC tier**.

### India coverage

Plivo delivers Verify traffic to India through **ILDO (International Long Distance Operator) routes**, starting at **USD 0.08 per message**.

Domestic India SMS requiring **DLT registration** is not currently available through Plivo.
