Plivo's infrastructure handles billions of voice calls and messages every year from businesses around the world.

It all started in 2011, when our founders, Mike and Venky, met on Github. They were seeking a robust communication solution that worked globally. Failing to find one, they decided to build their own; hence Plivo was born. Today thousands of customers use Plivo to add Voice Calling and Messaging capabilities to their web, mobile and desktop apps.

Plivo’s investors include Andreessen Horowitz, Qualcomm Ventures, Battery Ventures, and Y Combinator and have 180+ employees in its 4 offices.
